About the Course:
This course is designed for people already demonstrating the role and responsibilities of a manager in a care setting.
Course Structure:
The course comprises 20 units, some of which include:
- Managing activities
- Managing people and other resources
- Managing information
- Managing quality
Assessment Method:
Course assessment is conducted through trainer/assessor training and direct observation of your skills at work plus student portfolio production.
Progression:
At the end of the course learners will have improved skills at work. Others could opt to become accredited Diploma (NVQ) Assessors or apply to a university or a Higher Education institution in order to complete a Degree or Diploma in Management.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Working full-time as a manager in a care setting*
- Evidence of a current CRB Check
- Completion of a Literacy and Numeracy exam
*Must be confirmed in a letter from the applicant’s employer(s).
